Nurse Plus Ashford supported 'The Big Bounce' on Sunday 22nd May 2011 rasing a fantastic £344 towards the great work of Spinal Research.

Spinal Research’s aim is to develop therapies to help people paralysed as a result of breaking their neck or back but repairing a damaged spinal cord is one of the hardest challenges that medical science has ever faced.

Spinal Research has played a fundamental role in bringing forward major breakthroughs and now after years of research, they’re a big step closer to developing treatments to restore function and mobility in humans.

All the money that we raised during The Big Bounce 2011 will be put towards such fantastic work as their exciting Translational Initiative.  The charity receives no government funding so all funds raised will allow the pioneering research to continue so that one day therapies can be produced to transform the lives of people affected by spinal cord injury.
