Training with Nurseplus

Our in-house training programme has come a long way since Nurseplus was established in 2005. We are proud to provide quality training to all of our staff, including our newest workers and those who have been with Nurseplus through the years.

The advantage of having an in-house training team means that we know exactly what training is being delivered, when and how and we can continuously develop and improve where necessary. All of our trainers bring their own experience and knowledge of care work and the industry to enable the greatest level of support and encouragement to our workforce; allowing them to work in specialised environments with ease and the right skills set.

All of our training is in line with the care certificate; officially launched in March 2015, with the aim of equipping health and social care support workers with the knowledge and skills they need to provide safe, compassionate, quality care and support.

What does the care certificate mean for you?

New workers are just as important to us as our existing workforce. Our induction programme ensures all staff are given the appropriate mandatory training to feel confident and prepared for their role.
The theory elements of the programme ensure knowledge of legislation and guidance and the practical elements allow trainees to practice their learning in a safe environment, before joining the workforce.

Further support and guidance are provided throughout your journey with Nurseplus in a variety of ways including, shadowing, supervisions and ongoing & specialist training,  allowing everyone who joins Nurseplus to feel fully prepared for their new care role.

Furthering your career with Nurseplus

Progression within Nurseplus is very important and we are proud to have seen our carers become branch managers, and our managers become directors. We feel that it is important to support your learning and development, so everyone has access to qualification options.

All of our workers are given the opportunity for further development and progression and encouraged to undertake their level 2 diploma in health and social care, completed around working hours if desired.

For those who need to fit their learning around work and family commitments, we are pleased to offer distance learning for a wide range of qualifications through Careshield.
