As a home care worker, you will be providing care to people in their own homes; supporting our service users to maintain their independence and in the comfort of their own home.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to work in care.; you must have a caring attitude and a positive & sociable disposition. You are passionate about helping the vulnerable, respectful towards others and have excellent communication skills. You are flexible, as domiciliary care is a diverse environment have the ability to remain calm under pressure and have great attention to detail.
The homecare workers role will include:
Personal care services including bathing, dressing, medication support etc.
Homecare services including meal planning/preparation, cooking, housework, shopping, accessing outside social activities etc.
Enablement support based on the goals and outcomes of the individual service user
Specialist care including high dependence, live-in and complex care etc.
Home from hospital respite relief
To provide companionship to the service user, actively showing interest by talking them and listening to them. You'll get to know the people you're caring for and understand exactly what they want and need, and wish to achieve from having your support.
