Nurseplus win at second Kent Care Awards, Nurseplus Dover with great success

A hardworking carer has won an award at the second annual Kent Care Awards for her dedication to homecare in the area.

Hollie Berry was awarded the Homecare Worker of the Year accolade and impressed judges with the care and compassion that she provides to all of her service users.

Hanah Roberts and Donna Barker, also from Nurseplus Dover branch, were shortlisted in the Dementia and Registered Manager and Carer of the Year awards. This is the second year that Nurseplus has won at the awards, with Mary Harvey from our Ashford branch winning the Home Care Registered Manager award in 2016.

Organiser Kent Integrated Care Alliance have linked up with the Great British Care Awards, with all winners being automatically entered into the South East Great British Care Awards in November.

Hollie commented: “I am very proud to have won this award. Providing a valuable homecare service in the area is really important to me, but I never expected to win an award for it!”

Hanah Roberts, Dover Branch Manager, added: “Hollie is an amazing carer who always goes above and beyond. All the feedback is excellent and one thing that stands out, in particular, is when a client said that Hollie had become part of his family. We are very proud of her.”
