Nurseplus charity partnership success with Leonard Cheshire

In June 2017 Nurseplus announced a partnership with charity Leonard Cheshire, a timely association as they were also celebrating what would have been Leonard Cheshire’s 100th  Birthday. Nurseplus have been delighted to support the charity with various fundraising activities throughout the past 2 years.

Leonard Cheshire is the leading pan-disability charity in the UK. They support disabled people in this country and in emerging markets to live, access education and employment and get involved in their community.

Nurseplus have raised a grand total of £32,250 to support Leonard Cheshire through various fundraising activities and events across the UK including:

  • Coffee mornings, cake sales & tombolas
  • Voluntary work at Leonard Cheshire sites
  • Marathons
  • Bingo/ Quiz nights
  • And more

Nurseplus Corporate Director Pamela Bruce even completed a 7-day trek across the Great Wall of China, raising an amazing £5000!

Pamela Bruce, Nurseplus CD, commented: “I am delighted that Nurseplus were able to raise this amount for Leonard Cheshire, the crucial work that the charity does is very close to our hearts, our business is supporting those in need and we already work closely with Leonard Cheshire with their staffing needs, to be able to support them through fundraising efforts has been an amazing achievement for all of us at Nurseplus.”

“ We take our social responsibility very seriously and through our branch network will continue to support various local and national charities throughout 2019”

Pamela met with Neil Heslop (and Storm, his dog), CEO, at Leonard Cheshire’s head office in London for the cheque presentation. Neil said “From all of us at Leonard Cheshire, we’ve really benefitted from working with Nurseplus, it will help us make a difference in disabled people’s lives. We are really grateful for Nurseplus’ staff efforts to support us!”

We would like to thank all of the staff at Nurseplus for their efforts.
