National Apprenticeship Week: Apprenticeship Schemes at Nurseplus

As we enter National Apprenticeship week, we want to let you know about the amazing apprenticeship programmes we have available with Nurseplus. Healthcare apprenticeships are essential to the growth and revitalisation of our company, and help us to deliver the high-quality standards of care we want to offer.

Find out more about how our apprenticeships in care work.

We provide access to various apprenticeships in health and social care as well as leadership and business management and all are available to both our care staff and staff working within our branch network.

As a carer, simply register your interest with your local branch team and they’ll arrange everything else with our trusted learning provider Paragon Skills. Nurseplus will then work together with you and Paragon Skills to find apprenticeship schemes that suit your skills.

Our permanent staff also have access to tailored training programmes and Nurseplus will support and encourage your professional development as you work to achieve your career goals.

When you have decided how and when you’d like to get started, simply register your interest with your local branch and Paragon Skills then let the hard work begin.

How do our healthcare apprenticeships work?

The reason apprenticeships work so well is that your learning takes place alongside your work. You can gain valuable work experience with supportive staff who are there to guide you toward the career in care you want.

There are various types of healthcare apprenticeships to choose from, depending on the kind of career and qualification you want to achieve.

Starting out is easy for anyone and we can support you from beginning, GCSE equivalent qualifications, to end, an HND Foundation Degree equivalent.

Finding a role that suits your skills?

Deciding you want to work in care is just the beginning. After that, it's time to figure out which role in care suits your skills and career goals best.

From support worker apprenticeships and healthcare assistant apprenticeships to leadership and management apprentice programmes, together we can work with you to achieve your dream job in care.

With Nurseplus you will gain practical, hands-on experience with care staff working in a variety of healthcare environments. You’ll be expected to split your time between working in care homes, hospitals, and health support organisations and learning at home, in a classroom setting, or on location at dedicated off-the-job training events.

Apprenticeships programmes help you earn whilst you learn

When you choose to enroll in Nurseplus’ apprenticeship programmes you’ll be able to earn whilst you learn. Apprenticeships allow you to work and earn a wage to support you on your learning journey.

Show your work and share your skills

At the end of your apprenticeship scheme, you won’t face an exam as they are known but you will be expected to showcase and demonstrate all you have learned. Paragon Skills are proud to state that their achievement rate is almost 20% higher than the national average, plus a further 20% of those that participate will go on to further learning and higher apprenticeship schemes.

At Nurseplus we focus on providing high-quality care staff for our clients which is why we offer continuous support, guidance, and encouragement for anyone who wants to work in care. We want you all to be the best you can be, and by enrolling in one of our apprenticeship schemes you can help us provide better care for those who need it most.
