Job Description:

We are a dedicated supported accommodation provider committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and nurturing environments for young people aged 16+. Our focus is on promoting independence, resilience, and positive outcomes. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Registered Manager with strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and leadership in supported accommodation or children’s services.

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the effective leadership, management, and growth of our accommodation services. This includes ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements, maintaining excellent standards of care and safeguarding, and supporting staff to deliver meaningful support to young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the service in line with Ofsted regulations and statutory guidance.
  • Ensure all young people receive high-quality, person-centred support aligned with their individual needs and pathway plans.
  • Oversee safeguarding practices, risk management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Recruit, supervise, and develop staff to ensure a skilled, motivated, and compliant workforce.
  • Prepare for and lead inspections, ensuring the service meets or exceeds expected regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities, professionals, and partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all policies and procedures remain compliant and up to date.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the service, promoting a positive and supportive culture.

About You

Essential:

  • Proven management experience within supported accommodation, semi-independent services, residential childcare, or a similar setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations, inspection frameworks, and statutory guidance.
  • A recognised management or social care qualification (e.g., Level 5 Leadership & Management or working toward).
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and support planning for young people.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in service development or leading newly registered services.
  • Experience working with care leavers, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, or vulnerable young adults.
