Lord Mayor of Durham officially opens latest Nurseplus branch

Lord Mayor John Lethbridge along with his wife joined staff at Nurseplus to officially open their latest branch in Durham, which will offer valuable jobs to the local community.

The healthcare agency invited Lord Mayor John Lethbridge to join staff and friends at the spring celebration and to learn more about the care services and job opportunities available at the Nurseplus branch, located in Mandale Business Park. It also included a special visit from the Easter bunny who gave out eggs to the children.

The Lord Mayor was shown around the office and given an insight into what Nurseplus do and what it is that makes them different to competitors. Tim the Trainer was on hand to explain in detail what the training entails.  The office holds a dignity tree where staff have written messages of what dignity means to them, The Mayor and his wife were particularly interested in this, each writing a leaf of their own.

A ribbon and cake cutting concluded the event and officially opened the Nurseplus Durham branch.

Lord Mayor John Lethbridge commented: “It was a pleasure to attend the opening of your branch. We look forward to your high level of training skills to contribute to our county's needs.”

Nurseplus Durham Branch Manager Rebecca Clish added: “I am delighted to be expanding the Nurseplus brand across the North East. Nurseplus offer a unique quality service that is evidenced with the success of 53 branches nationally. My absolute priority is making sure that the staff we provide, treat our clients with the dignity and respect that they undoubtedly deserve. I was honoured to welcome The Right Worshipful Mayor of Durham alongside his wife Sandra, to our launch today and wish him luck with his upcoming skydive for The Royal British Legion”.
