About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, Nurseplus is seeking a dynamic and driven Branch Manager to lead our Colchester branch. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced internal team member who understands our values, culture, and operational standards to step into a leadership role focused on recruitment growth and business development.

We are looking for a commercially minded leader who can drive branch performance, build strong client relationships, and develop a high-performing recruitment team.


The Role

As Branch Manager, you will take full responsibility for the performance, profitability, and compliance of the Colchester branch, with a strong emphasis on:

Recruitment & Candidate Growth

  • Driving healthcare recruitment activity to increase active worker numbers

  • Leading, coaching, and developing the recruitment team to achieve KPIs

  • Ensuring effective candidate attraction strategies (advertising, referrals, local engagement)

  • Maintaining high compliance and quality standards

  • Monitoring pipeline activity and conversion rates

Business Development

  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities within the local healthcare market

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients

  • Conducting service reviews and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Increasing hours supplied and maximising branch profitability

  • Representing Nurseplus within the local community and at networking events

Leadership & Performance Management

  • Setting clear objectives and driving a high-performance culture

  • Analysing branch metrics and implementing improvement strategies

  • Ensuring compliance with CQC and company standards

  • Managing budgets and controlling branch costs


About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven success in recruitment and/or business development within Nurseplus

  • Strong understanding of branch KPIs and performance drivers

  • Leadership capability with experience motivating and developing others

  • Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset

  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills

  • Strong organisational and compliance knowledge

Previous experience in a senior consultant, team leader, or assistant branch manager role would be advantageous.
