Nurseplus is one of the UK’s leading healthcare recruitment agencies, specialising in the supply of high-quality temporary and permanent staff across the healthcare sector. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our Basingstoke branch, with a strong focus on sales, business development, and client growth.
The Role
As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you will play a key role in driving branch performance through new business development, account management, and commercial recruitment activity. This is a hands-on, sales-focused role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities

Proactively generate new business through outbound sales activity, networking, and relationship building

Manage and grow a portfolio of healthcare clients, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and service delivery

Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with branch and company targets

Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, from client requirements and candidate attraction through to placement

Negotiate terms, fees, and service agreements with clients

Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders

Act as a senior figure within the branch, supporting and mentoring junior consultants where required

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and Nurseplus standards
About You

Proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant, ideally within healthcare or a high-volume recruitment environment

Strong background in sales and business development, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding targets

Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills

Commercially minded with a proactive, results-driven approach

Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
